The beginning
The origins of “El Mosquito Restaurant” date back to the thirties, initially serving as a "Tavern for sailors", in which "a glass of Ribeiro and a tapa of fried fish" was offered as the house speciality. With time, the passion and love applied in our work resulted in growing popularity that encouraged the extension of a richer variety of seafood. A high quality standard and simple preparation remains our main concern. The founder of the Restaurant was Ms. Carmen Roel Rilo, who passed away in 1986. She implemented a very personal style in the way she managed the business, caring as much for the quality of the food as for customer satisfaction, always with a friendly and cordial treatment. This way of handling the business gained her the respect and admiration of not only institutions, but also cultural, business and political figures. As a result of her reputation, she won praise and multiple decorations. |
